Covid 19 Safety plan
Administrative changes
Everyone coming to the clinic is asked to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms and risks, including staff.
We ask that you wait outside until a few minutes before your appointment time before entering the clinic. If you are an initial patient, please ensure you fill out the intake forms online which would have been emailed to you.
Mask use remains optional, although we strongly encourage it for those who are immunocompromised. N95 masks have proven extremely effective for protecting one’s self from pathogens, and your therapist is more than happy to dawn a mask, surgical or N95, upon request. Please let your therapist know your comfort level so we can best accommodate you.
Sanitizer and washrooms are available to clean your hands and we encourage their use upon arrival and departure.
Cleaning Protocols
All therapists have been thoroughly trained in COVID-19 sanitation protocols. All items that cannot be washed/wiped and sanitized have been removed from the clinic. All porous materials that cannot be laundered/changed after every use have been removed from the clinic.
Every surface that the therapist or the patient touches will be cleaned and sanitized between every treatment. All high-touch areas in communal spaces will be regularly cleaned consistent with COVID 19 guidelines.
Informed Consent for Patients
Any massage therapy treatment involves some risk of COVID-19 transmission. Our therapists follow protocol to mitigate risk, but it cannot be fully eliminated.
Patients should be aware that COVID-19 precautions may necessitate increased time for interview, assessment, paperwork and informed consent, and therefore slightly decrease the amount of time for treatment during their appointment.
